Lok Sabha Speaker Election: NDA and opposition alliance INDIA are running for the post of Speaker and Deputy Speaker in the Lok Sabha. The India Alliance is now ready for a head-to-head clash with the NDA. After fielding a candidate for the post of Speaker, now the opposition has decided to field a candidate for the post of Deputy Speaker as well.

Along with this, for the first time in the history of the country, the election for the post of Speaker will be held. Om Birla from NDA and K from opposition alliance. Suresh will be a candidate for the post of Lok Sabha Speaker. Om Birla has filed his nomination papers for the post of Lok Sabha Speaker. Election will be held tomorrow at 11 o’clock.

What is the number game in Lok Sabha?

If we talk about numbers game in Lok Sabha, it is an interesting match compared to 2014 and 2019. The NDA-led BJP did not get a majority this year. However, it is the largest party with 240 seats. The strength of NDA in Lok Sabha is 293. When it comes to opposition, Congress won 99 seats. However, with Rahul Gandhi leaving the Wayanad seat, its strength has now reduced to 98. Apart from this, the Congress-led India Alliance has 233 MPs. Apart from this, 16 other people, including seven independents, have also reached the Parliament House after winning the elections.

Who is Suresh?

K Suresh has been elected 8 times. He was elected MP in 1989, 1991, 1996, 1999, 2009, 2014, 2019, 2024. K Suresh is a Congress MP from Mavelikkara seat in Kerala. Has also been Union Minister. Despite being the most experienced MP, he was not elected as pro-tem speaker, the opposition party protested. K Suresh was first elected as an MP in 1989. In 2009, he became the Secretary of the Congress Parliamentary Party. Suresh was a minister at the Center from October 2012 to 2014 in the Manmohan government.
