YCP leaders have committed many crimes and atrocities, missing their power, when they were ruling from 2019-2024.
After they lost the recent general elections, a new government is formed by TDP-JSP-BJP and legal proceedings are being taken up against the YCP leaders who committed crimes.

In the process, former Macharla MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy became first YCP leader to get arrested for the crime he committed.
Pinnelli made it to the headlines by smashing the EVM and VVPAT machines at the Palvai gate polling booth in Macharla on the polling day.

He physically attacked TDP agent Namboori Seshagiri Rao who tried to stop him. He also abused a lady named Cherukuri Naga Shiromani who condemned his act.
The next day after polling, Pinnelli and his brother Venkatrami Reddy instigated violence in Karampudi town of the Palnadu region. They also attacked Circle Inspector Narayana Swamy.

The Election Commission took the issue seriously and ordered Pinnelli’s immediate arrest. However, Pinnelli got anticipatory bail from the High Court.
The High Court ordered the Election Commission and the police department not to take any action against Pinnelli until the Election code is lifted.
Meanwhile, the hearing of Pinnelli’s four anticipatory bail petitions was concluded on June 20. Advocate Ashwin Kumar argued on the behalf of the police department as a special council and Posani Venkateshwarlu argued on the behalf of petitioner Namboori Seshagiri Rao.
The High Court has finally delivered its verdict today. Upon hearing arguments, the High Court dismissed all four petitions filed by Pinnelli.
After High Court gave its verdict, the police wasted no time and arrested Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy. More details of his arrest are awaited.
