2024 Mahindra XUV700 SUV Launched In 2 New Colours

Mahindra & Mahindra’s flagship SUV – XUV700 – has achieved two lakh production milestone in the country. To celebrate the occasion, the carmaker has introduced two new colour options to the SUV model lineup – Burnt Sienna and Deep Forest. The new paint schemes joined the regular nine exterior shades – Everest White, Napoli Black, Midnight Black, Red Rage, Dazzling Silver, Electric Blue and Matte Blaze Red. Recently, the Mahindra XUV700 received a new AX5 Select and MX 7-seater variants.

The engine setup of the Mahindra XUV700 SUV consists of two powertrains – a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel. The gasoline unit delivers a claimed power of 197bhp and a maximum torque of 380Nm. The oil burner returns a peak power of 182bhp and 450Nm of torque. Transmission choices on offer are a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The AWD system is exclusively available with the top-end trim.

In other fresh updates, the electric iteration of the Mahindra XUV700 has started taking shape ahead of its official debut in late 2024. Based on the Mahindra XUV.e8 concept, it will be the first production-ready Mahindra EV to underpin the born-electric INGLO platform. Its final production version will retain most of its design elements from the concept, featuring full-width LED light bar headlining the nose and triangular headlamp clusters placed in the bumper. However, it will have some EV-specific elements such as a closed-off front grille.

Previous spy images have already confirmed that the Mahindra XUV.e8 will have three horizontally oriented screens, working as an instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system and a passenger side display showing multiple details of the vehicle. There will be a flat-bottomed two-spoke steering wheel and a new touch climate control panel, while most of features will be borrowed from its ICE-powered version. Mahindra has already confirmed that the XUV.e8 SUV will come with AWD drivetrain setup. It might get a battery pack of up to 80kWh, delivering power ranging between 230bhp – 350bhp.
