This rain wreaked havoc on the outer shed of the T1 terminal of Delhi airport in such a way that a part of it collapsed. This cab driver died in this accident. It is being told that when this accident happened, the cab driver was sitting in his car under this shed of the airport and waiting for a passenger to come. But he did not know that this time he was not destined to get a passenger but rain came as death.
How did the accident happen at the airport
A tragic incident took place at Terminal-1 of the airport in heavy rain in Delhi and a part of the roof collapsed, killing one person and injuring many others. While many vehicles got buried. The injured people were immediately taken to the hospital. Where they are being treated. A Delhi Fire Service official gave this information. The official said that “The roof collapsed at Terminal-1 of Delhi Airport. 3 fire engines were sent to the spot.” A search operation is being carried out to ensure that no one else is trapped in the damaged vehicles. Officials said that apart from the roof sheet, the support beam has also fallen. This accident happened amid heavy rain in Delhi-NCR.
What did the Civil Aviation Minister say on the accident
Regarding this accident, Civil Aviation Minister K Ramamohan Naidu said in a post that he is personally monitoring the situation and the injured have been sent to the hospital. In heavy rains, many areas of Delhi-NCR are facing heavy waterlogging. Waterlogging has occurred in most areas of Delhi. Traffic at Terminal-1 of Delhi Airport has also been affected due to rain. Officials said that one of the six people was rescued from inside the car, on which an iron beam had fallen.
