Team India scripted History in Barbados as it won the T20 World Cup Final. This victory ends seventeen years wait for Team India for a T20 World Cup and thirteen years wait for an ICC Event win.

Stubbs and de Kock steadied the ship. Klassen was in beast mode and was smashing the spinners left right and center. Rohit Sharma was clueless bowling spinners back to back even then.

Bumrah came in at the right juncture at the sixteenth over with 30 runs from 30 balls and cut the flow of runs.
Hardik, finally, came back in the last over with South Africa needing sixteen runs. He sealed the match for India removing the dangerous Miller for the first ball with a Sensational Catch by Surya Kumar Yadav which can easily qualify as one of the best catches in the history. He just gave away seven runs sealing the victory for Team India.
Proteas had to blame themselves for choking at the last minute but should commend Team India for holding their nerves at the crucial moment. Finally, the dream came true and the drought has ended.
