If you ever feel that strict policing is the way to go to ensure a safe society then you should look at what happens in the United States on a regular basis. The country has the highest funded police department with some precincts having more budget than that of the entire police department in a district in many developing countries. However, the police in the US not only regularly fail to stop mass shootings but also kill innocents.

A 13 year old boy was shot dead by the New York Police because the police suspected he was carrying a gun. The gun turned out to be a toy replica but the boy ended up losing his life and it has raised a lot of questions on the modus operandi of the police department.
The deceased teenager was a black person and it has also raised questions around any racial bias that the police officials had in the event. It is ridiculous to observe that the young boy was a suspect in a robbery and was trying to escape from the police. Was it necessary to shoot down a young kid who was a suspect for a mere robbery.

The judiciary allows everyone to have a fair trial but one has to make it to the court alive for it. It is high time we question why the first line of defense for the police is to point and shoot. The US is setting examples for all countries to learn what not to do with law enforcement.
