Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Tuesday said the government is planning to set up a school on 50 acres on the lines of Sainik School from 6th Class to PG where children of home guards as well as senior police officers will study together by sharing the same opportunities and facilities without discrimination.

The CM said this while interacting with senior police officers from Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda Commissionerates at the TGC & CC auditorium in Banjara Hills on Tuesday.

Emphasising people’s perception of politicians, police, and press, the CM praised the sacrifices by the police.

Highlighting his personal connection to the police, he shared how the support of his elder brother, who was a police constable, was pivotal in his success.

Revanth Reddy urged officers to balance time between family and profession while stressing the importance of integrity, honesty, and hard work.

Discussing the rising issues of cyber fraud and drug trafficking, he highlighted the need for a drug-free Telangana, particularly focusing on the Andhra-Odisha border.

In a stern warning, he asserted that corruption and favour-seeking would not be tolerated with strict action from ACB and V&E against corrupt officers. He called for a return to basic, impartial policing to regain public trust.

DGP Ravi Gupta, Hyderabad Commissioner K. Sreenivasa Reddy, Cyberabad Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, TG Anti-Narcotics Bureau Director Sandeep Shandilya and other officials participated in the event.
