The latest spy images of the upcoming Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 show the bike in two different colors—Matte Grey and Red with a Golden finish on the fuel tank and tail. The dual-tone color model is likely to be the higher trim, featuring a round TFT screen that’s expected to be borrowed from the RE Himalayan 450. The Blue color model has a semi-digital instrument cluster along with a small round Tripper navigation module, similar to the one seen in the RE Super Meteor 650. The unit has an analog speedometer with a red needle and a round LCD screen placed in the center. Read: Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin Launching In 2024
Previous spy images confirmed that the new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will come with 17-inch alloys and black pattern tires. There will be a one-piece seat, a split grab handle, a hefty fuel tank, and a round LED headlight. The bike is likely to offer a more upright riding position. When compared to the RE Himalayan 450, the Guerrilla 450 misses out on several features such as a windscreen, tank braces, larger 21-inch wheels, USD telescopic front forks, a rear rack, and luggage mounts.
The front suspension unit of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will be a gaitered telescopic fork. For power, the upcoming RE bike will use the Sherpa 452cc, 4-valve, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine. This motor is claimed to offer smoother operation with less engine clatter, thanks to its hydro-mechanical cam chain tensioner. Its power and torque outputs stand at 39.5bhp and 40Nm, respectively. Similar to the Himalayan 450, it’s likely to come with a 6-speed gearbox.
Once launched, the new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will compete against bikes like the Hero Maverick 440, Harley-Davidson X440, Triumph Speed 400, Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, Yezdi Roadster, and Honda CB300R. The bike is likely to be priced quite aggressively against its rivals. Its base variant might cost around Rs 2.40 lakh and the top trim could be priced nearly Rs 2.60 lakh.
