Hyderabad: A 27-year-old woman was raped by a man she had met on a matchmaking app at the culprit’s photo studio within SR Nagar police station limits.
On June 24, the accused, Rajashekar, 30, called the survivor to his studio within SR Nagar PS limits and raped her. The survivor initially lodged a complaint with Uppal police station, however, the case was later shifted to the SR Nagar police station.
While police have remained tight-lipped on revealing details of the case, they have asked public to be more cautious while operating dating apps.
