The updated Hyundai Alcazar three-row SUV was recently caught on camera with semi-camouflage. What’s interesting is that the spotted test mule was painted in a new Maroon color that will join the regular nine shades: Starry Night, Typhoon Silver, Ranger Khaki, Titan Grey, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Abyss Black, Ranger Khaki & Abyss Black, Atlas White & Abyss Black, and Titan Grey & Abyss Black. Minimal changes will be made to the exterior.
The new 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift will come with a newly designed grille, revised headlamp clusters and DRLs, and a slightly tweaked bumper. Save for the newly designed alloy wheels, the side profile will remain unchanged. Compared to the Creta, the new Alcazar will have bigger taillamp clusters. The rear bumper will also be revised. No changes will be made to its dimensions.
Some of its interior upgrades will be inspired by the Creta SUV. The new Alcazar might come with a dual-screen setup featuring two 10.25-inch displays functioning as an infotainment unit and instrument cluster, ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and an ADAS suite. The engine setup will be carried forward from the current model. At present, the Hyundai Alcazar is available with the 115bhp, 1.5L diesel and 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engines. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will also be retained.
The exact launch date of the new 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift is yet to be announced. However, the SUV’s updated version is likely to arrive by September (just before the 2024 Diwali season). Prices of the facelifted Alcazar are expected to be more or less similar to the existing model, which is currently available within the price range of Rs 16.77 lakh – Rs 21.28 lakh (all, ex-showroom). After the updated Alcazar, the South Korean automaker will bring in the much-awaited Hyundai Creta EV in January 2025.
