Longer films have become more prevalent in recent years, particularly in high-profile pan-Indian productions. Films like “Animal” have a runtime of 3 hours 20 minutes. Recently, blockbusters like “Salaar” and “Kalki 2898 AD” were three hours lengthy.
Now, director Shankar has followed suit and made the duration of his film to three hours and four minutes. We are referring to the film “Bharateeyudu 2,” which stars Kamal Haasan.
The film was cleared by the censor board and issued a UA certificate. The censor certificate was provided for three hours and four minutes. If we deduct the starting credits, the runtime is three hours.
“Bharateeyudu 2” is scheduled for release on July 12, 2024. The film is a sequel to 1996’s blockbuster “Bharateeyudu”. After 28 years gap, Kamal Haasan and Shankar have reunited for this film. The third installment – “Bharateeyudu 3” will be released in 2025.
