Tushar Hiranandani recently made it in the news for his film ‘Srikanth’ starring Rajkumar Rao, which gained critical success. It had a heart touching theme and created awareness around disability. Now he is working on his political thriller project ‘The Sabarmati Report’. ‘12th Fail’ fame Vikrant Massey will be in the lead role in this film with Rashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra. And news has sparked about the ongoing reshoot of the film.
The film was set to release this year in May but the release was halted because it supposedly violated the code of conduct for the Lok Sabha Elections. The film is based on the investigation of the burning of Sabarmati Express at Godhra, during the riots of 2002. The Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) also got involved in scrutinising the film as it was considered offensive to a section of the audience.
