The voters of Andhra Pradesh displayed amazing maturity by defeating YSR Congress. They sent a positive message that in democracy there is no place for arrogance.
They clearly stated that they can not be bought with freebies and that welfare and development should go hand in hand.

From 151 seats to just eleven, this is a big humiliation for Jagan Mohan Reddy. He is reduced to just an MLA and now depends on the mercy of the Speaker to accord him the Opposition Leader status as YSRCP is well below the 18-seat mark that is needed for that status.
Nothing explains the drubbing. We can only conclude Jagan may have done everything wrong and so this result.

One look at the results, YSR Congress drew a blank in all the sixty-five Semi-Urban and Urban constituencies across the state.
It is not the case with the TDP when it only got 23 seats in 2019. TDP won all the four seats in Vishakapatnam City. It had won Vizag and Vijayawada Lok Sabha segments. The party also gave a good fight in Urban areas like Tirupati, Kurnool, etc.
YSR Congress is dependent only on freebies and so, the Semi-Urban and Urban population is upset.
This should be a big worrying sign for Jagan. The Urban and Semi-Urban areas will only increase due to rapid urbanization and people migrating to such areas for better living and employment opportunities.
Moreover, the population in those areas always associates TDP with development.
Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to have not realized it even after the election. Every time he comes before the media, he only talks about the buttons he pressed and the buttons Chandrababu did not press. If this is the case, the future will remain bleak for YSR Congress.
