The Galaxy S24+ has been spotted online in the Geekbench benchmark database running Android 15 and One UI 7. This indicates development on the next major OS update for Galaxy devices is progressing quickly.
It’s no secret that Samsung has been working on Android 15 and One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24 lineup. But one of the Galaxy S24 series phones showing up in a benchmark running the next version of Android and One UI suggests that Samsung may have hit an important milestone in the development process.
Android 15 and One UI 7 are still some ways off
However, this doesn’t mean that the update will be here soon. Before Android 15 and One UI 7, Samsung has One UI 6.1.1 to deal with. One UI 6.1.1 will debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 on July 10 and will be ported to existing Galaxy Z Fold and Flip smartphones and select non-folding smartphones.
But there’s no telling when that will happen. Because of Galaxy AI, Samsung needed additional time to bring One UI 6.1 to older devices. Since One UI 6.1.1 and One UI 7 are expected to bring new Galaxy AI features, they might require more time in the oven as well.
It’s all speculation for now, though, so we’re not losing hope for a quick One UI 6.1.1 and One UI 7 rollout.
