Speaking about the film, she said, “The audience will definitely love Darling. Subhalagnam is a classic relationship between a wife and husband. We showed the funny banter but there is a beautiful emotion in their relationship. There is a unique funny angle like Jathiratnalu. You will not feel bored throughout the film”.

Chaitanya Reddy says she was initially skeptical about her husband Niranjan Reddy coming into production but she was proved wrong with the success of HanuMan. “After HanuMan, I came forward to help and support him. So that he can concentrate on our other businesses,” she said.

She also explained how complex the industry is, how the unions operate here, and about many wastages that happen in the industry.

Despite all the care, she says there is 20% extra expense due to this structure and wastage.

She also explained about the HanuMan controversy. She rubbished that the hero and director were not paid enough for the movie.

“We paid both of them as per their market in 2021. I am okay to share some amount when we make good money. But I am not satisfied with what we made from HanuMan. We just got our invested money back. The producer took 1000% risk and I am not okay when someone asks for 100% fruits,” she said.

She also dropped a hint about her upcoming film with Sai Dharam Tej, SYG (Sambarala Yeti Gattu).

“It is a massive project. Very prestigious project in our banner. The budget is around 100-125 crore after the cost-cutting. I am working with art and other departments. It would have been around 300 Crore film if not for the cost-cutting,” she said.

We quizzed her if they are still part of Jai HanuMan and also about the controversy around Bhagavanth Kesari Uttarandhra’s Rights.
