So after hearing many horror stories about TATA service I finally got the courage to get first service on my Punch Empowered + LR.

So after hearing many horror stories about TATA service I finally got the courage to get the first service on my Punch Empowered + LR.

My Odo was already on 1250 kms so I was late by 250 kms.

I choose TATA EV only service centre at sector 14 Gurgaon.

First impression I walked in without any appointment on Friday afternoon at 12:30 pm and was welcomed at the reception. I informed I was here for the first free service and a service manager was assigned to me.

The service manager arrived in 10 minutes and I explained to him the small issues that I was facing. (Steering was a little jerky when I took a U-turn and the cabin light felt a little loose.

He immediately called his technician and we went for a drive to understand the steering issue. The technician didn’t find any issue but informed me they would still check the steering wheel while servicing.

He then informed me that the car would be ready by 4 pm and asked me if I wished to wait at the customer lounge.

I sat at the reception and in a few minutes, another executive informed me that in the showroom next door there was an owner area on the first floor where I could wait.

The waiting lounge was one of the best lounges for any car showroom I was offered coffee from Blue Tokai and served with wafers while I was waiting. I asked for a Wi-Fi password as I needed to take calls and the same was shared and the net speed was pretty good.

In the meantime I was added to a WhatsApp group and the service manager sent me pics stating service was in progress and a software update had also been done.

I got the call at 3 pm that the car is ready and I checked the car and all issues seem to be fixed.

Overall I feel the service experience is quite good, especially at the EV-only service centre.
