Hyundai Exter, which was introduced exactly a year ago, has been generating volumes for the South Korean automaker. Aiming to celebrate its first successful year in India, the company is ready to launch a special edition called ‘Hyundai Exter Knight Edition’. After the Creta and Venue, it will be third model to receive special ‘Knight Edition’. An official teaser confirms its imminent arrival, showing blacked-out pillars, sporty red garnish on the tailgate and roof spoiler. The teased model is painted in black colour scheme. Similar the Creta Knight Edition, the upcoming Hyundai Exter Knight Edition is likely to have gloss black finish on the front grille featuring red inserts, blacked out front and rear skid plates and red front brake calipers. The wheels could be finished in gun metal shade. The special edition will also get blacked-out treatment on the wing mirrors, side sills, roof rails and C-pillar garnish. The Knight Edition badge on the tailgate will further differentiate it from the regular Exter.

Interior details of the Exter’s special edition are not available at this point of time. Though, we expect it come with all-black theme on the dashboard and seat upholstery. The AC vents might get red finish. The glossy black finish on the centre console and red contrast stitching on the seats are likely to add more to its sporty appearance.
Engine setup will be carried forward from the regular Exter that comes with a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated, four-cylinder petrol motor. The gasoline unit, which also powers the i20, Nios i10 and Venue, delivers a claimed power of 83bhp and 114Nm of peak torque. Both manual and AMT gearboxes are likely to be on offer. However, it’s unclear at this point of time that the new Hyundai Exter Knight Edition will come with the CNG fuel option or not. The Exter manual and AMT variants are claimed to offer a mileage of 19.4kmpl and 19.2kmpl, respectively.
