Aiming to celebrate the first successful year of the Exter micro SUV, Hyundai Motor India has introduced a special edition called the Exter Knight Edition. Based on the SX and SX (O) Connect trims, the special edition comes within the price range of Rs 8.38 lakh – Rs 10.43 lakh (all ex-showroom). The Hyundai Exter Knight Edition receives a few cosmetic enhancements over the regular model, featuring sporty black treatment with red accents inside and out.

On the exterior, the special edition features black front and rear skid plates, black side sill garnish, red brake calipers, and red accents on the front bumper and tailgate. The SX (O) Connect variant has black alloy wheels, black Exter and Hyundai badges, and a Knight emblem. The special edition comes in two new color schemes – Shadow Grey and Abyss Black – along with the regular shades of Atlas White, Starry Night, Shadow Grey, Ranger Khaki, Ranger Khaki with a black roof, and Shadow Grey with a black roof. As mentioned above, the black treatment continues inside the cabin as well. The Hyundai Exter Knight Edition has an all-black interior theme with contrasting red stitching, red accents, and red footwell lighting. The metal scuff plate, red stitching on the floor mats, new Knight seat upholstery with red stitching and piping, and black satin interior door handles add more to its sporty feel and appeal.

Under the hood, the Exter’s special edition features the same 1.2L, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with both manual and AMT gearboxes. The motor returns a claimed power of 83bhp and 114Nm of torque.

In other fresh updates, Hyundai is planning to introduce a new sub-4 meter SUV based on the global-spec Bayon to challenge Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Toyota Taisor. The model is reported to arrive in 2026. Besides this, the company is also set to introduce a mass-market small EV in India – the Hyundai Inster EV.
