Hyundai Venue, Grand i10 Nios To Get Generation Change -Details

Hyundai Motor India is ready to introduce a new generation of its two popular models – the Grand i10 Nios hatchback and the Venue subcompact SUV. The new Talegaon manufacturing facility will serve as the production hub for the all-new Venue, which is reported to enter production in October 2025.

For those not in the know, this new production plant was acquired by Hyundai from GM (General Motors) nearly a year ago. The company aims to achieve a 1 million annual production capacity with its Sriperumbudur and Talegaon facilities. The Sriperumbudur plant will be used for manufacturing upcoming Hyundai EVs (electric vehicles).

Codenamed QU2i, the 2025 Hyundai Venue is likely to receive comprehensive changes in terms of design and features. However, the subcompact SUV will retain its engine setup and platform. The all-new Venue might share some of its design elements with the Creta and Alcazar facelifts due in September 2024.

The third-generation Hyundai Grand i10 Nios (codenamed Ai4) will be launched in late 2027. However, details of the new model are not available at this time. The report further states that Hyundai might introduce the next-generation models of the Aura compact sedan and Exter mini SUV after the new Grand i10 Nios.

In other updates, Hyundai Motor India is planning to bring in a new compact SUV to challenge the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and a subcompact electric SUV. Hyundai’s Fronx rival SUV will be based on the global-spec Bayon SUV. The model might share its powertrain with the i20 hatchback and Venue subcompact SUV. The Hyundai Inster EV, which will arrive in the second half of 2026, will compete against the Tata Punch EV. Globally, the EV comes with the Standard 42kWh battery and Long-Range 49kWh battery options. While the former offers a range of 300 km, the latter delivers an electric range of 355 km.
