The fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail three-row SUV is set to hit Indian roads in July 2024, although its official launch date is yet to be announced. Ahead of its official arrival, the carmaker has released a couple of teasers revealing some of its design details and features. The latest teaser confirms that the SUV will have an all-black interior theme with dual-tone seat upholstery. There will be a floating infotainment system and a fully digital driver’s display, both likely to measure 12.3 inches.

The center console will feature a drive mode button, a split-type opening armrest with storage, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, a gear lever, and a wireless phone charger. The SUV also gets a panoramic sunroof, which is likely to be reserved for the higher trims. The teaser also confirms that the carmaker will bring in its three-row version to India, featuring a bench seat in the middle row.

The X-Trail SUV could also be packed with features such as a 10-speaker Bose sound system, heated and powered front seats with memory function, three-zone climate control, and a 360-degree camera. In India, the Nissan X-Trail will be offered with a single 1.5L turbo petrol engine and an 8-speed CVT gearbox. The gasoline unit delivers a maximum power of 163PS/300Nm with a 2WD setup and 213PS/523Nm with an AWD setup. The 2WD version will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds and offer a top speed of 200 km/h. The 4WD variant, on the other hand, will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds, while attaining a maximum speed of 180 km/h. There will be no e-Power hybrid powertrain option.

The Nissan X-Trail prices are expected to start from Rs 40 lakh, positioning it against competitors such as the Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster, and Jeep Meridian.
