France is preparing itself for one of the biggest sporting events of the decade and so are the fans. The country is going to host the Olympics from the 26th of July to the 11th of August in numerous cities with the majority of it being hosted in Paris. The city has had a complete makeover for the event and is ready to host athletes as well as fans from all around the world.
A recent data release by an accommodation service platform suggests that a huge number of Indians are visiting France for the Olympics. Airbnb has said that there is a 30 percent increase in bookings by Indian guests during the Paris Olympics.

This suggests that Indians have started looking beyond the traditional international vacations and sports tourism have found a place among them. Paris is not the only destination for these fans but cities like Nice, Aubervilliers, Colombes are also on their list.
The data suggest that there are 5 times more bookings during the Games as compared to regular days. Guests from 160 countries have booked their stay for the event. Good performance by some Indian athletes in the last Olympics is also one of the reasons why many want to witness it.
