The Nissan X-Trail 7-seater SUV is all set to hit Indian roads in the coming weeks. It will be the fourth-generation model of the SUV, competing against the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, and MG Gloster. Aiming to create buzz among buyers, the carmaker has started releasing exciting teasers revealing some of its key details. The teasers also confirm that the upcoming Nissan 7-seater SUV will have a wireless phone charger, electronic parking brake, a floating infotainment system and a fully digital driver display (measuring around 12.3 inches each), dual-tone seat upholstery, and an all-black interior theme. The heated and powered front seats with memory function, a 10-speaker Bose sound system, three-zone climate control, and a 360-degree camera will further enhance its comfort quotient.

In India, the X-Trail SUV will be offered only in three paint schemes – Champagne Silver, Diamond Black, and Solid White. In global markets, it comes with 13 colour schemes (including 9 monotone and 4 dual-tone) – Solid White, Metallic Brilliant Silver, Champagne Silver, Electric Blue, Gun Metal, Pearl Ceramic Grey, Pearl Diamond Black, Pearl Diamond Red, Pearl White, Champagne Silver with Black Metallic Roof, Electric Blue with Black Metallic Roof, Ceramic Grey with Black Metallic Roof, and Pearl White with Black Metallic Roof.
Under the hood, the Nissan X-Trail will employ a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine that’s good for 163PS and 300Nm (2WD) and 213PS and 523Nm (AWD). Transmission duties will be carried out by an 8-speed CVT automatic gearbox. The SUV’s 2WD and 4WD versions are claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 9.6 seconds and 7 seconds, respectively. While the 2WD variant has an electronic speed limit of 200kmph, the 4WD model offers a maximum speed of 180kmph.
