Tata Motors is all set to announce the prices of the all-new Curvv coupe SUV on 7th August 2024. Initially, the model is likely to be offered with an electric powertrain only. Its ICE version (with petrol and diesel engines) is reported to arrive six months after its EV model. The Tata Curvv EV will face challenges from the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX and Hyundai Creta EValong with the MG ZS EV. Its ICE-powered model, on the other hand, will take on mid-size SUVs including the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
The Curvv EV will underpin Tata’s new Acti.ev architecture and is expected to offer a range of around 500km on a single charge. Its battery pack capacity and performance figures are yet to be revealed. The Tata Curvv petrol will come with the brand’s all-new 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo engine making 125bhp, while the diesel model will borrow the 1.5L, 4-cylinder motor from the Nexon subcompact SUV.
The production-ready Tata Curvv has retained most of its design elements from the concept. It carries a new split-LED headlamp setup, coupe-like roofline, gloss black side cladding, alloy wheels, and split taillamp cluster. Similar to Tata’s new breed of SUVs, the Curvv will be packed with several advanced features such as a dual screen setup with 10.25-inch displays, ventilated seats, wireless phone charger, 360-degree camera, connected car tech, and more.
With all the aforementioned features and powertrain details, the Tata Curvv EV is estimated to be priced from Rs 20 lakh for the entry-level variant to Rs 24 lakh for the top-end variant. The ICE-powered version will surely be more affordable than its electric iteration, with an estimated price range of Rs 10 lakh – Rs 15 lakh.
