New Maruti Dzire Launch in August – High On Mileage & Features

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire, first introduced in India in 2008, is now ready to enter its fourth generation in August 2024. The sub-4 metre sedan will share multiple components with the new Swift hatchback but will feature a completely different front fascia. Spy images reveal that the new 2024 Maruti Dzire will have a newly designed front grille, redesigned bumper, and new headlamps. While the lower trims will come with halogen lights, the higher trims will be equipped with multibeam LEDs. Read: Maruti Suzuki To Launch Tata Punch Rival SUV

Similar to the Swift, the compact sedan is likely to get projector headlamps as a standard fitment. A few significant changes will also be made to its rear profile. The new Maruti Dzire will sport new taillamps extending upwards. The carmaker might also introduce the sedan in new color schemes. No changes are likely to be made to its dimensions.

The interior will share a strong resemblance with the new Swift. The new 2024 Maruti Dzire is expected to get a light shade interior theme with a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a redesigned dashboard, and new HVAC controls. The analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital MID is likely to be carried forward from the current model. Interestingly, the new Dzire will be the first vehicle in its segment to come with an electric sunroof. The sedan’s standard safety kit will include six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, hill start assist, electronic stability control, and Isofix anchors.

Under the hood, the new Maruti Dzire will employ the Swift’s 1.2L, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with both manual and AMT gearboxes. The motor pushes out a peak power of 82bhp and 112Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki claims that its new powertrain generates up to 12 percent less carbon emissions than the old K12 unit. The new Z12E engine delivers a claimed mileage of 24.8kmpl and 25.75kmpl.
