It’s been a while since the South industry delivered a standout web series. Last year’s Vikram Kumar’s Dhootha was one of the last highlights. Before that, shows like Suzhal, Kerala Crime Files, Vadhandhi, and Iru Dhuruvam made a solid impact.
Now, SonyLiv is launching the Brinda web series, marking Trisha’s debut in the web series arena. The makers have finally released the trailer for this crime thriller.

In Brinda, Trisha plays a police officer who becomes a beacon of hope amid rampant injustice and crime. Her investigation reveals mysteries that challenge deep-rooted societal beliefs and rituals, portraying a battle between good and evil.
The trailer offers a decent glimpse into the series. While the tropes are familiar, the real test will be the screenplay, penned by Surya Manoj Vangala and Padmavathi Malladi, and how well they can blend mystery and drama.

Trisha has starred in female-centric films before, but none made a strong impact, and her performances were often criticized. It remains to be seen if she can deliver a compelling performance in Brinda, where she is the central focus.
The cast includes Indrajith Sukumaran, Jaya Prakash, Aamani, Ravindra Vijay, Anand Sami, and Rakendu Mouli, among others in key roles.
