Last month, Samsung unveiled SmartThings Pro, a higher-end version of SmartThings made for businesses and enterprises. Earlier today, the company announced that many South Korean consumers have shown interest in SmartThings Pro.
SmartThings Pro receives over 200,000 applications in South Korea
Samsung has announced that over 200,000 households (across 248 apartment complexes) have applied for SmartThings Pro in South Korea. These applications are for the deployment of SmartThings Pro in apartment complexes. Samsung is also collaborating with construction companies to deploy SmartThings Pro in their apartment and office complexes.
SmartThings Pro can help control and manage several aspects of apartment complexes, businesses, and offices, including air conditioners, curtains, electric blinds, general home appliances, and ventilation devices. It can also be used to control elevator calls, parking information, unmanned delivery management, and delivery vehicle registration.
In corporate and office environments, SmartThings Pro can control cameras, home appliances, hotel TVs, lighting, smart signage, system air conditioners, and temperature/humidity control devices.
With the SmartThings Energy service, electricity consumption can be reduced. The AI Energy Saving Mode uses AI to control several aspects of compatible devices to reduce power consumption. The SmartThings Pro app also shows a 3D Map View of a home or an office, making it easier to check the state of each smart home device and other aspects such as air quality, energy usage, lighting, and temperature.
