The Indian NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) team has reached Nepal and started the rescue operation to search for two buses and missing passengers that drowned due to the recent landslide in Nepal’s Trishuli river. After the request made by the Nepal government

So far no trace of the buses and many dead bodies has been found, after which the Indian NDRF personnel have been given the responsibility of the operation. These personnel are conducting search operations in various areas of Nepal along with the Nepal Police Force.
The rescue team has started the operation from Simaltal in Chitwan. A total of 62 passengers were travelling in this landslide incident, out of which the bodies of 23 passengers have been recovered so far. The search for the remaining passengers is ongoing.
Most of the bodies have been found 150 kilometers away from the site of the incident. The bodies of most of the people have reached the lower areas due to the strong current of the river, which is making the rescue operation very difficult. Till now the rescue operation was being handled by the Nepal Armed Police Force, but considering the seriousness of the situation, the Indian NDRF has been called.
The people and government of Nepal are expressing their gratitude for this help of the Indian NDRF. It is hoped that with joint efforts the missing passengers will be found as soon as possible.
