The Nissan X-Trail SUV will soon be added to the carmaker’s Indian product portfolio. Prices of the model are slated to be announced on 1st August. While its official booking amount and details are yet to be revealed, select Nissan dealers have already started accepting orders. The SUV will arrive in its fourth-generation avatar via CBU (completely built-up unit), and that’s why it will come at a premium price. We expect it to cost around Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a direct rival to the Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tiguan. Read: Upcoming Nissan Mid-Size SUV To Offer More Features Than New Duster
The upcoming Nissan full-size SUV will be offered with a single 1.5L turbo petrol engine benefited by 12V mild hybrid tech. The setup delivers a maximum power of 163 PS and 300 Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be performed by a CVT automatic unit. Unlike the global-spec model that also comes with Nissan’s e-Power series hybrid powertrain, the X-Trail in India will miss out on it. Here, we will receive it with the FWD setup and a limited-slip differential.
