Tata Curvv SUV To Come With 4 Engine Options – Key Info

The Tata Curvv, the upcoming coupe SUV from the indigenous automaker, recently broke cover at an event in the UK. We have also seen the first real-world images of the model, followed by its official interior sketches. Interestingly, the Curvv will be offered with four engine options including a 1.2L turbo petrol (120bhp), a 1.2L direct-injection (125bhp), a 1.5L diesel (115bhp), and an electric powertrain. The top-end automatic variant will get paddle shifters. Specifications of the Curvv EV are yet to be revealed, though it’s reported to offer a range of around 450 km – 500 km on a full charge.

The official interior sketches confirm the presence of a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver’s display, and a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo. You can also notice a stubby gear selector lever with an electronic parking brake, central AC vents, and a touch-based HVAC panel.

Reports suggest that the Tata Curvv EV and Curvv (ICE) have already been subjected to GNCAP and BNACP testing, and managed to score a five-star safety rating.

The Tata Curvv EV will go on sale in India on 7th August 2024, while its ICE (internal combustion engine) version will arrive a month later (i.e., in the first week of September). While the electric iteration will compete against the MG ZS EV and the upcoming Citroen Basalt coupe SUVits ICE-powered version will compete against mid-size SUVs including the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
