Further discharge from Chandoli dam into Warna river is going to be increased. 8874 cusecs will be released into Visarga river bed at 11.30 am on Wednesday. At present, 3800 cusec discharge is going on and by increasing it, 7216 cusec will be released through curved gate and 8874 cusec discharge will be released into the river bed from 1658 cusec through Vidyut Janitra. Because of this, the people on the banks of the Warna river were alerted by the dam management. To prevent flood damage, the Almatti dam will be released at the rate of 2 lakh cusecs per second from 9.30 am onwards.
