The Maruti Suzuki Ignis hatchback was first introduced in India in 2017 and underwent mid-life updates in 2020 and 2023. The model has been witnessing a sales decline over the past few years, and to boost its sales performance, the carmaker launched a special edition. Called the Maruti Ignis Radiance Edition, the limited edition is based on the entry-level Sigma trim and costs Rs 5.49 lakh.
Compared to its regular counterpart, the special edition is nearly Rs 35,000 more affordable. The company is also offering some accessories with the Ignis Radiance Sigma worth Rs 3,650. The package includes a door visor, 15-inch steel wheels, and chrome highlights.
The higher Zeta and Alpha trims-based Ignis Radiance Edition also costs Rs 35,000 lower than their standard counterparts. These are available with an accessory package worth Rs 9,500, consisting of cladding on the doors, a door visor, black cushions, and new seat covers.
The regular Alpha trim comes with exclusive features such as a SmartPlay infotainment system with a remote app, driver’s seat height adjuster, auto climate control, puddle lamps, reverse camera, and LED projector headlamps with DRLs. The Zeta trim includes rear parking sensors, rear defogger and wiper, electric folding wing mirrors, keyless go, four speakers and two tweeters, steering-mounted controls, keyless entry, fog lamps, and 15-inch alloy wheels.
The standard feature list of the Ignis includes a 12V power outlet, front power windows with driver side auto down, tilt-adjust steering, AC and heater, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, speed-sensing door locks, Isofix child seat anchors, driver seatbelt reminder, and 15-inch steel wheels.
The Maruti Ignis Radiance Edition uses the same 1.2L, 4-cylinder K12 petrol engine with manual and AMT gearbox options. The motor delivers a claimed power of 83bhp and 113Nm of torque. Both engine-gearbox combinations offer a fuel efficiency of 20.89 kmpl.
