The new Hero Xtreme 160R 4V has finally been launched in India at Rs 138,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike comes with a slightly improved design and a few new features and colors, while the engine remains unchanged. The new Kevlar Brown color scheme with new golden graphics joins the already existing Neon Shooting Star and Stealth Black paint schemes. The new color version features a dual-tone black and brown finish with golden graphics all around.
The bike’s updated model receives a single-piece seat replacing the split seat unit. At the rear section, the new Xtreme 160R 4V has revised panels and a newly-designed taillight along with an Emergency Stop Signal. Now, you can measure the bike’s acceleration on the instrument cluster, which includes a drag timer.
The fully digital instrument cluster supports smartphone connectivity (via Bluetooth) and offers over 25 features such as malfunction alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, text alerts, trip details, overspeed alerts, battery removal alerts, and more. The cluster also has a fuel level indicator, odometer, speedometer, tachometer, gear position indicator, clock, and other basic information.
Hero has equipped the bike with KYB inverted forks and a 7-step preload adjustment monoshock suspension as standard. It also comes with a 276mm petal disc brake at the front and a 220mm petal disc brake at the rear. Dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) is a standard offering. It features 17-inch alloy wheels with 100-section front and 130-section rear tires. The bike has a seat height of 795mm and offers a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters. Its ground clearance stands at 165mm.
As mentioned above, no changes have been made to its powertrain. The new Hero Xtreme 160R 4V derives power from the same 163.2cc, air/oil-cooled engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The motor delivers a peak power of 16.9PS at 8500rpm and 14.6Nm of torque at 6500rpm.
