The One Club for Creativity is calling for entries for the 2024 edition of the ONE Screen Short Film Festival. This unique festival celebrates short films from both the film and advertising industries.
The festival recognizes a wide variety of short film formats, including narrative fiction, comedy, commercials, animation, and more. There are no limitations on content, giving filmmakers total artistic freedom.
With entries from over 45 countries, the festival’s mission is to celebrate filmmakers across both the film and advertising sectors, providing a platform for total artistic freedom. The global call for entries for ONE Screen 2024 is now open, with a tiered pricing structure designed to accommodate freelancers and small independents.
Entries will be judged by a panel of renowned film directors, producers, ad agency creatives, and heads of production companies, with the jury lineup to be announced soon. Winners will be celebrated at the ONE Screen Short Film Festival ceremony and screening in February 2025.
Last year, the top honors went to “Answer Me,” created by Banana Balloon Shenzhen for Tencent Sustainable Social Value. The short film won Best of Show, Best of Region-Asia Pacific, and received three Craft awards for Screenplay, Directing, and Casting.
ONE Screen is an initiative of The One Club for Creativity, the leading global non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating creative excellence in advertising and design. The festival has its roots in The One Show, the club’s renowned global awards program. The One Show was the first in the advertising industry to recognize original branded content, establishing the Branded Entertainment category in 2003 for BMW Films.
Past winners include Oscar-winning director Laurent Witz and Martín Rosete, director of the award-winning feature film “Money,” whose producer connected with him at the ONE Screen awards ceremony in 2014. An archive of past winners can be viewed here.
