
BRS MLC Kalavakunta Kavitha, who was arrested in the Delhi Liquor Scam case, has had no luck in getting bail from the court.

The Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court once again denied giving bail to Kavitha and extended her judicial custody till July 31, concerning the case filed by the Enforcement Directorate.
The bail was denied to Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal and Delhi’s former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

The court started investigating Kavitha’s default bail petition on July 22. It postponed the next hearing to August 5.
As a part of its examination, the court considered CBI’s chargesheet which was filed on June 7. The court asked to present Kavitha in a virtual hearing today (July 26).

Kavitha, Kejriwal and Sisodia have attended the court hearing today through video conference. After hearing the arguments, the court denied giving bail.
Concerning the case filed by the CBI, the court has yesterday already denied giving bail to Kavitha, Kejriwal and Sisodia and extended their custody up to August 8.
By failing to obtain bail in both ED and CBI cases, Kavitha has to remain in jail for two more weeks. It has been more than four months since Kavitha has been jailed. She was arrested on March 15 due to her alleged involvement in the money laundering scam of Delhi Liquor Policy.
