Now that we have entered the second half of this year, Samsung has started working on several phones for next year. Some of those entry-level and mid-range phones could be launched in late 2024, and one of those devices includes the Galaxy A06. Its design has leaked months before official announcement.

The Galaxy A06 design has leaked, and it includes the Key Island design element that debuted with the Galaxy A35 and the Galaxy A55 earlier this year. It confirms that Samsung will continue using the Key Island in its 2025 smartphone lineup as well. High-resolution renders and dimensions of the Galaxy A06 were published by GizNext in partnership with OnLeaks.

According to the leak, the Galaxy A06 has a 6.7-inch screen, which is likely an LCD unit with HD+ resolution. It has a U-shaped notch to accommodate the phone’s front-facing camera. It is disappointing to see that Samsung isn’t ready to bring the punch-hole camera layout for the front-facing camera to its entry-level devices.

The device has thick bezels around the screen. It also features a Key Island design on the right side of the frame. The side-mounted fingerprint reader (power button) and volume buttons are on that raised portion. On the bottom, the phone has a 3.5mm headphone port, a USB Type-C port, a loudspeaker, and a microphone.

On the rear, the Galaxy A06 has a dual-camera setup with an LED flash. It measures 167.3 x 77.9 x 8.0mm and likely has a plastic frame. As per previous reports, the upcoming entry-level phone has the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, 6GB RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging. It could run Android 15 out of the box, but we aren’t sure yet.

The story continues after the video.

Since the Galaxy A05 was launched in September 2023, it is possible that Samsung might announce the Galaxy A06 in September of this year. If that is the case, the phone might launch with Android 14 out of the box. The company’s lower-end phones usually get 2-3 Android OS updates.
