Hyderabad: The Moinabad police on Thursday arrested four persons for grabbing the Wakf Board land and demolishing a structure near Chilkur village. A court later remanded to judicial custody, the accused Boddam Kiran Kumar Reddy, Kakarla Rama Krishna Prasad, Pallapu Nagaraju and Varikuppala Harish.
Police said four guntas of Wakf Board land with an old structure in Survey No. 133, on the outskirts of Chilkur village, was surrounded by Sy No. 134 which measured about 15 acres. Kiran Kumar Reddy purchased the land in Sy No. 134 on behalf of YSR Poruru infra company recently. Along with his adviser Prasad, and the other accused, Reddy demolished the structure with an earthmover and cleared the bushes.
Based on a complaint from villagers, a case was registered by the Moinabad police. Kiran Kumar Reddy was arrested on July 23 and the others on Wednesday.
