The exterior and interior of the much-awaited Mahindra Thar Roxx (5-door Thar) have been revealed via the latest spy video and clearest picture. The first thing you will notice is its extended wheelbase, square-ish wheel arches, and newly-designed alloy wheels. The off-road SUV also features a six-slot front grille, new LED projector headlamps with C-shaped DRLs, A-pillar mounted ORVMs, side steps, and rear door handles mounted in the pillar. The higher trims will be exclusively offered with an all-LED lighting system and 19-inch diamond-cut alloys. Read: New-Gen Mahindra Bolero, Bolero EV Launch Timeline
Talking about its features, the Thar Roxx will have a dual screen setup with 10.25-inch displays each – one functioning as a touchscreen infotainment system and another as a fully digital instrument cluster. While the lower variants will come with a single-pane sunroof, the higher trims will get a panoramic unit along with the Level 2 ADAS suite. Features such as a 360-degree camera, new steering wheel with mounted controls, white seat upholstery, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, wireless phone charging, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, front parking sensors, and six airbags will also be on offer.
Official specifications of the new Mahindra off-road SUV are yet to be revealed. However, it’s likely to be offered with three engine options – the entry-level 1.5L diesel with RWD setup, 2.2L diesel, and 2.0L petrol with 4WD drivetrain system.
Select Mahindra dealers have already started accepting bookings for the upcoming Mahindra Thar Roxx ahead of its launch on 15th August 2024. The entry-level variant of the off-road SUV is estimated to be priced around 18 lakh, while the top-end variant might cost around 23 lakh. If launched in this price range, the Thar Roxx (5-door Thar) will directly compete with the 5-door Force Gurkha and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
Mahindra & Mahindra will unveil the Thar Roxx along with its prices, feature details, and specifications on this Independence Day. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews for the latest updates.
