The Tata Curvv EV price announcement will be made on 7th August 2024 at an event in Mumbai. The new coupe SUV has already started arriving at dealerships nationwide. It will be the first mass-market coupe SUV positioned against the upcoming Citroen Basalt, Hyundai Creta EV, and Maruti eVX. It will also compete with midsize SUVs such as the Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Honda Elevate. Here are all the key details of the forthcoming Curvv coupe SUV.
Powertrain options for the Curvv will include a new 125 bhp, 1.2L, 3-cylinder direct-injection turbo petrol engine, a 120 bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol engine, and a 115 bhp, 1.5L diesel engine. The coupe SUV will also come with an electric powertrain, likely offering two battery pack options: 40.5 kWh (borrowed from the Nexon) and 55 kWh. While the former will be available with the lower variants, delivering a range of around 465 km, the latter is expected to offer a range of around 550 km.
Based on Tata’s Acti.ev platform, the Curvv EV will be packed with several features, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a fully digital driver’s display, a Harrier-like four-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, an 8-speaker Harman sound system, and more. It will also offer segment-first features such as a panoramic sunroof and a powered tailgate with a gesture function. The top-end variants will be exclusively equipped with Level 2 ADAS tech.
Compared to the Nexon, the new Tata Curvv will be 313 mm longer and have a 62 mm longer wheelbase, which means it will offer more legroom. However, the sloping roofline will reduce headroom at the back. It will also have more boot space than the Nexon.
Official details of the Curvv EV and ICE versions will be revealed in the coming days. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
