Yet another teaser of the upcoming Mahindra Thar Roxx lifestyle off-road SUV has been released. This time around, the carmaker gave a glimpse of its interior, showing the dashboard with a soft leather finish, a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, navigation, a fully digital driver display, a Harman Kardon audio system, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
Features such as leatherette seat upholstery, automatic AC, wireless phone charger, rear AC vents, front and rear center armrests, and push-button start will also be offered. Similar to the 3-door Thar, the Thar Roxx will be a 5-seater SUV with safety features such as six airbags, front parking sensors, rear-wheel disc brakes, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS tech.

The design and styling of the Mahindra Thar Roxx will also be slightly different from the 3-door Thar. It features a newly designed front grille, revised front bumper with integrated fog lamps, LED taillamps, differently designed rear door handles, and 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The upcoming Thar Roxx will also possess some serious off-road capabilities with Scorpio N’s five-link suspension setup along with frequency-dependent dampers. The latter gives it rigidity over high-frequency bumps and stiffness around corners. The new Mahindra Thar Roxx will be offered with three engine options – the entry-level 1.5L diesel, 2.2L diesel, and 2.0L petrol with a 4WD drivetrain system. The 1.5L diesel engine, with the RWD setup, delivers a maximum power of 117PS and 300Nm of torque. Only a 6-speed manual gearbox will be available with this oil burner.
The 2.2L diesel motor will be good for 130PS and 300Nm. The 2.0L petrol engine will push out a maximum power of 150PS and 300Nm of torque. Both these powertrains can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
