Hyderabad: The 4th Koneru Lakshmaiah Memorial Moot Court Competition, meticulously organized by the College of Law at KL Deemed to be University, has captured widespread attention with an impressive participation of 45 law colleges from across India, including prestigious National Law Universities. The competitions commenced with its preliminary rounds, marking a significant milestone in legal education and advocacy.
The preliminary rounds featured a distinguished panel of 32 judges, including retired District Judges, senior High Court advocates, and prominent academicians, overseeing the proceedings across 16 moot courts. Out of the 32 participating teams, 16 have progressed to the Octa finals, which are scheduled to be held at the KL Deemed to be University on August 30.
The event was launched via an online platform, setting a motivating tone for the participants and emphasizing the critical role of mooting in legal education and practice. The later phases were conducted at the Vijayawada campus, culminating in one of the most exciting and eagerly awaited events of the year
Under the guidance of Dr. I. Pavan Kumar, Principal of the College of Law, Dr. M. Kishore Babu, Dean MHS, Ms. G. Vijaya Sudha, Head of the Department, efforts of Mr. Mudassir Rasool Wani, the convenor, dedicated faculty members and staff, the event was organized successfully, paving the way for budding lawyers to refine their skills and contribute meaningfully to the legal profession.
