The long wait for the most anticipated Tata Curvv EV has finally come to an end as the carmaker has launched the coupe SUV in the country. The model lineup comes in trims spread across variants. The price of the Curvv EV starts from Rs 17.49 lakh for the entry-level variant and goes up to Rs 21.99 lakh for the fully-loaded variant. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.
It’s the first mass-market coupe SUV from the indigenous automaker in India, going directly against the newly launched Citroen Basalt. It will also face competition from the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti Suzuki eVX, which are slated to launch early next year.

Batter Packs, Charging Time, Range
Based on Tata’s new ATLAS platform, the Curvv EV is available with two battery packs – a 45 kWh (Creative, Accomplished and Accomplished+) and a 55 kWh (Accomplished, Accomplished+, Empowered+ and Empowered+ A). Tata says that its battery takes 40 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% via a 70kW charger. It can be juiced-up for up to 150km in just 15 minutes. Both setups have a 167bhp, front axle-mounted electric motor. The coupe SUV is capable to do 0 to 100kmph in 8.6 seconds and offer a maximum speed of 160kmph. It supports V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) and V2L (vehicle-to-load) functionalities. The electric Curvv has a ground clearance of 190mm and water wading depth of 450mm.
Colours, Segment-First Features
Buyers get five exterior color options to choose from – Virtual Sunrise, Empowered Oxide, Pristine White, Pure Grey, and Flame Red. Tata has equipped its new electric coupe SUV with several segment-first features, including a powered tailgate with gesture control, flush door handles, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system sourced from Harman, an advanced vehicle alert system, a panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, and a Level 2 ADAS suite offering 20 advanced safety features.
the top-end trims are exclusively offered with a 320W, 9-speaker JBL sound system. Features such as a two-step rear eat recline function, ventilated six-way adjustable front seats, front and rear 45W Type-C charging ports, leatherette upholstery, a cooled glove box are also on board. It also offers the class-leading boot space of 500-litres along with 35 storage areas and a frunk.

Safety Features
Along with the Level 2 ADAS, the safety kit of the new Tata Curvv EV also includes six airbags, an advanced electric stability program with driver doze-off alert, hill ascent and descent control, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and all-wheel disc brakes. Furthermore, the coupe SUV has an sound alert for pedestrians (warns up to speeds of 20kmph).
