When the TDP alliance parties were in an upbeat mood after their victory in the AP Assembly elections, the YSRCP leaders found themselves in a frustrated situation, questioning how they lost the election. On June 10th, Undi TDP MLA K. Raghurama Krishna Raju (RRR) filed a complaint with the Guntur Police Station.
Reportedly, RRR sent the complaint via email, along with all supporting documents, alleging custodial torture against him. The Nagarapalem police inspector in Guntur district registered an FIR based on RRR’s complaint.

The FIR named the then Chief of Intelligence, P. Seetharaamaanjaneyulu, as A1; the then CID Chief, Sunil Kumar, as A2; the then Chief Minister, YS Jagan, as A3; and Additional SP Vijay Paul as A4. Anticipating possible arrests in the RRR case, Vijay Paul approached the High Court for anticipatory bail.
However, in a surprising turn of events, the High Court rejected his bail plea, which came as a shock to the YSRCP. It appears that the CBN (Chandrababu Naidu) government is taking this case very seriously. The AP government has appointed eminent criminal lawyer Siddhartha Luthra to support RRR. There are expectations that arrests may soon occur in AP in connection with the RRR case.
