The Suzuki Hustler, the SUV-styled crossover kei car from the Japanese automaker, was recently spotted in India. The surfaced images showcase the side and rear profiles without any camouflage. Notably, the model doesn’t carry the signature Suzuki logo or Hustler badge. The spotted model was painted in White and Silver shades, featuring a boxy stance and upright front fascia.
Upfront, the crossover SUV features retro-styled round LED headlamps, a massive black bumper with a chrome bar above it, a black grille, a large glass area, and a pronounced hood. It has square-ish wheel arches with black cladding, a darker gray roof blending into the C and D-pillars, diamond-cut alloy wheels, rectangular taillamps, and a slab-sided rear. Dimensionally, the Suzuki Hustler measures 3,395mm in length, 1,475mm in width, and 1,680mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,425mm.
The global-spec version of this compact city car comes with features such as color-coded interior trim, heated front seats, push-button start, and smart key entry. Interestingly, the Hustler is the first mini car in Japan to score the highest points for ADAS (advanced driver assist system), offering features such as lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, and more. It also comes with a rearview camera.
As of now, there are no official words on its India launch. Even if it’s on the India launch radar, the Suzuki Hustler could be introduced as a replacement for the Maruti Suzuki Ignis.
Speaking of Maruti Suzuki’s next product launch, the Indo-Japanese automaker will bring in the new-generation Dzire compact sedan around the 2024 festive season. The model will come with a significantly improved design, a more upmarket interior, and an all-new Z-Series petrol engine. It will be the same engine that powers the Swift hatchback. The 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol motor produces a peak power of 81.58PS and 111.7Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include the same 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox.
