The Citroen Basalt went on sale in India last week. Initially, the carmaker announced the price of its base variant only, which is Rs 7.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). Now, the company has revealed its variant-wise prices along with the booking and delivery details. The Basalt model lineup comes in three trims – You, Plus, and Max, which are further spread across six variants – You, Plus, Turbo Plus, Turbo Plus AT, Turbo Max, and Turbo Max AT.
As mentioned above, the entry-level You variant costs Rs 7,99,000. The Plus (NA), Turbo Plus MT, and Turbo Plus AT variants are priced at Rs 9,99,000, Rs 11,49,000, and Rs 12,79,000, respectively. The higher Max trim is offered with the turbo-petrol engine in both manual and automatic gearbox combinations. While the Max manual version is priced at Rs 12,28,000, the Max automatic variant is available at Rs 13,62,000. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom. Dual-tone colour scheme, which is reserved for the Max variants, comes at an additional cost of Rs 21,000.

One must note that these are introductory prices, which will be applicable to bookings made before 31st October 2024. Deliveries will start in the first week of September from 85 La Maison Citroen Phygital Showrooms. The company is offering a standard warranty for 2 years or 40,000 km, along with 24/7 roadside assistance with the Basalt.
The Citroen Basalt SUV coupe’s base variant misses out on features such as LED projector headlamps, fog lamps, a shark fin antenna, and silver finishes for the skid plates, wheel cladding, and doors. Its exterior includes halogen headlamps with a split setup, blacked-out skid plates and door handles, steel wheels without any wheel covers, and ORVMs in a matte black finish. All variants of the Citroen Basalt come with six airbags, electronic stability control, Isofix, and 3-point seat belts for all seats.
Inside, the entry-level You trim offers a three-spoke steering wheel, a digital and colored instrument cluster, black and grey seat upholstery, front power windows, a 12V port, front tweeters and speakers, headrests for all five occupants, and front cup holders. Features such as a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, three-step adjustable thigh support for the second row, automatic climate control, flip key, and powered ORVMs are exclusively offered on the top-end Max trim.
The entry-level You and Plus manual variants are equipped with the 82bhp/115Nm, 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine, while the rest come with the 110bhp/190Nm (MT) and 205Nm (AT), 1.2L turbo-petrol engine. Both manual and automatic gearboxes are available.
