The new-generation TVS Jupiter is finally here. The indigenous two-wheeler manufacturer has announced prices for its new model, which start at Rs 73,700 (ex-showroom), making it slightly more expensive than its predecessor. The scooter model lineup is now available in four variants – Drum, Drum Alloy, Drum SXC and Disc SXC – across all TVSM dealerships. The 2024 TVS Jupiter features a significantly improved design, a new platform, and more features, along with an updated engine setup.
Powering the new TVS Jupiter is a 113.3cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke fuel-injected engine delivering a claimed power output of 7.9bhp (5.9kW) at 6,500rpm and a maximum torque of 9.2Nm (without assist) and 9.8Nm (with assist) at 5,000rpm. This motor complies with the BS VI emission standards and offers a top speed of 82kmph. The scooter’s engine has undergone major upgrades, including a low inertia crankshaft, DLC coating on the piston ring, and a lightweight piston design. All these upgrades improve its overall performance. The new Jupiter is equipped with a CVT unit with a dry clutch for transmission duties.

The scooter’s suspension setup includes a front telescopic hydraulic suspension and a gas-filled emulsion damper at the rear. Braking power is provided by a 220mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brakes. It comes with 90/90-12 54J front and rear tubeless tires. The new Jupiter is based on the lighter new-generation frame, which debuted with the Jupiter 125. Its kerb weight (including the toolkit and 90% of fuel) has been reduced to 105kg, enhancing its power-to-weight and torque-to-weight ratios.
The 2024 TVS Jupiter measures 1,848mm in length, 665mm in width, and 1,158mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,275mm. Its under-seat storage has been increased to 33 liters, which can accommodate two half-face helmets. Additionally, there is a 2-liter storage/cubby hole at the front, where you can keep your phone and a half-liter bottle.
Visually, the new TVS Jupiter appears more modern. It now features an LED headlamp and taillamp, a glowing LED DRL strip with integrated turn indicators, a remote fuel filler cap, and a mobile charger. The fuel tank is positioned under the floorboard, and the fuel cap has been placed at the front, as seen in the Jupiter 125.
Features such as a USB mobile charger, a long seat, a glove box, front fuel fill, an all-in-one lock, the patented E-Z center stand, a fully digital colour LCD speedometer with smart alerts, average and real-time mileage indicators, emergency brake warning, follow me headlamp, turn signal lamp reset and metal fuel tank, front fender and side panels are also on offer.
