Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony, the Chief Minister said, “Such an opportunity comes once in a lifetime and it is my birthright to be the chief guest of this ceremony.”
Revanth Reddy said that it is a great thing to build a heritage tower to provide spiritual inspiration in the midst of the concrete jungle. “The fact that the Heritage tower is 430 feet high is the pride of Telangana. The construction will be completed in 36 or 40 months and this is a great occasion that will go down in history,” he added.
CM Revanth highlighted that through Hydra the State government is freeing the ponds from encroachers.
“A hundred years ago, Hyderabad was developed as a lake city by the Nizams. Some farm houses have been built for luxuries in the vicinity of ponds that quench the thirst of crores of people. Waste water from farm houses is being discharged into Gandipet and Himayat Sagar which provide drinking water to the city,” the Chief Minister said.
“If we leave them like this, it will be useless for us to be the people’s representatives. That is why we are freeing the ponds from the encroachers through hydra,” he added.
He said that inspired by Lord Krishna’s teachings to Arjuna in the context of the Kurukshetra battle, the State government will fight against the encroachment of the ponds. He also said that this is not a program for politics or political parties. We have undertaken this program with the will to make the future generations better. No matter how much pressure they put, we will not fall prey to the invaders of the ponds.
“Our government stands for Dharma in the spirit of Lord Krishna’s teachings to protect Dharma,” he asserted.
Education and Health are the priorities of our government, he further said.
The Chief Minister asked the Hare Krishna Foundation to provide food in Osmania, Gandhi, NIMS, Cancer Hospitals and he assured to provide all the necessary facilities to the foundation.
