Stree 2 has become the first non-action film to enter the Rs 400 crore club and is on track to join the Rs 500 crore club in the coming weeks. This is a clear message from the audience: if you entertain us, we will reward you, genre doesn’t matter. What matters is entertainment.
As of now, this Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-led horror comedy has amassed around Rs 415 crore net in just 13 days. By the end of its second week, it is expected to surpass Yash’s blockbuster KGF 2 (435 crores).

Stree 2 is also on course to overtake Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal (495 crore), Prabhas’ Baahubali 2 (511 crore), and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 (515 crore). It may even challenge Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which collected 525 crore in Hindi alone. However, Jawan’s 565 crore net could be a tough milestone for Stree 2 to reach.
What stands out is how a female-led comedy is giving some of the country’s biggest stars a run for their money. This proves that right now, pure entertainment is what truly draws the audience in. ENTERTAINMENT is the biggest star.

Stree 2’s worldwide gross has already reached 600 crore, surpassing the 402 crore collected by Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi) this year. Its global tally could easily cross 700 crore and possibly even hit the 750 crore mark, making it the fourth-highest grosser ever worldwide, following Jawan, Pathaan, and Animal.
