Google’s Circle to Search was introduced in the market by Samsung with the Galaxy S24. Since then, Google has been consistently adding new features to it. At the Made By Google event earlier this month, Google announced another feature for Circle to Search that lets you share the portion of the screen that you have highlighted. Back then, the brand said that it would roll out the feature in September. Well, it has started pushing the feature right before we enter the month.
As you can see in the screenshots shared by 9To5Googleonce you activate Circle to Search and highlight something on the screen, a ‘Share’ option appears right above the selection. Once you click on it, the Google app will bring up the share sheet, allowing you to share the selection as an image. Note that the feature doesn’t save the picture on your device. However, if you want to save it on your phone, you can upload it to Google Photos, Google Drive, or Google Keep from the share menu.
Google should make this feature available on all Samsung smartphones and tablets that offer Circle to Search. Currently, there’s no information if the company is offering this feature with an update to the Google app or as a server-side change. If it is through an update to the Google app, you will have to update the app to the latest version to get this feature. If it is through a server-side change, you will have to wait till Google makes it available for your device.
