Hyderabad: City Commissioner of Police (CP) Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy here on Monday interacted with all Sub-Inspectors of Police of Hyderabad at Telangana Command and Control Centre (TGCCC) in Banjara Hills for the peaceful conduct of the ensuing Ganesh festival and Milad-Un-Nabi celebrations and listed out their duties and responsibilities.

During the meeting, he asked the SIs to adopt certain time tested practices and habits like punctuality, honesty, work ethics, priority to petitioners, having sympathy, and empathy towards the public and improve the image of police department.

“The participants are all very young officers and they have a long way to go in service and with hard work and dedication many of them will also have the chance of becoming SP rank officers and even some of them might go up to IPS rank,” he said.

The Sub-Inspectors have a very crucial role and they should do proper time management and prioritize their work and give importance to all the fields of policing like crime prevention and detection, bandobust duties, VVIP visits and implementing Station house routine, so that the core policing is improved, he said.

Reddy further gave directions to involve themselves in all aspects of the forthcoming Ganesh festival 2024 and Milad-Un-Nabi festival and take steps to have close coordination with the organizers, peace committee all other departments and ensure foolproof arrangements by visiting the pandals and immersion sites as police department has to take lead in ensuring a peaceful and successful festival bandobust.
