The Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the compact sedan from the Indo-Japanese automaker, is all set to enter its next generation in October. Prior to its official launch, the new model has been caught on camera during its ARAI test rounds in Pune. The spotted test mule was semi-camouflaged, covering most of its design details. However, one can notice the ORVM-integrated camera, indicating the presence of a 360-degree camera. Read: Maruti Alto K10 and S-Presso Prices Reduced
Upfront, the new 2024 Maruti Dzire features newly-designed headlamps with LED DRLs and LED reflector barrels placed at the top, with halogen turn indicators at the bottom. Compared to the Swift, its headlamp assembly will be bigger and more rectangular. The compact sedan will also have a differently designed front grille and bumper. All its variants could be offered with projector headlamps, as seen in the Swift. The spy images revealed that the new Dzire will have newly-designed alloy wheels and C-shaped taillamps.
Most of its features will be borrowed from the Swift and Baleno. The new 2024 Maruti Dzire will get a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an ARKAMYS sound system, HUD, new HVAC controls, an analog instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital MID, and many more features. Interestingly, the new Dzire will be the first vehicle in its segment to come with an electric sunroof.
The new 2024 Maruti Dzire will also be the most fuel-efficient car in its category. The compact sedan will use the Swift’s 1.2L, three-cylinder Z12E engine, delivering a maximum power of 82 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. This naturally aspirated gasoline motor can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The automaker will introduce its CNG version at a later stage.
